Light Wall

The Light Wall is a 6-foot tall and 4-foot wide wall where people of all ages and abilities can draw using light to make full-body sized beautiful images. The Light Wall uses a touch screen, so you just need to touch and drag to see the amazing effects.

How It Works

The inside of the Light Wall contains thousands of mylar tubes. Light enters the back side of the light wall, is mixed inside of the mylar tubes, and exits the front.  Due to the light mixing and pixelization of the mylar tubes, the resulting front side image has a beautiful pebble-like texture filled with stunningly blended colors. Users interact with different apps on the Light Wall via a touch screen and custom software. The Light Wall was inspired by a Make Magazine project by Nicole Catrett.
